So, day after day I read where some republican, yes, republican says or does something that is so far out there and so insane that it must be read or watched a second time to fully appreciate the ignorance. AG sessions thinks that Korea was once a part of China. trump refers to Luciano Pavarotti as though he was still alive. (signs of a frontal lobe collapse)
Betsy DeVoss wants to put religion back in school. That's fine and way back in a time when most people practiced 4 or 5 different religions. However, I wonder what religion she would like to see in schools. I wonder if it is something that muslim children can practice. I wonder if they will allow these children to go into the hallway and lay down their towels and kneel to pray. I wonder if it will be just for Jewish children, or catholic children, or baptist children, and the list goes on. Or perhaps it would be her own brand of hate and ignorance.
mike pence has said that he does not believe in evolution. Interesting because there is hard scientific evidence that proves evolution. Evidence that proves what man looked like as he evolved. I wonder if mr. pence thinks that man has been on earth for, oh, maybe two or three thousand years at the most.
Political parties seem to have found a way to blame the other side for what happens in their own party. The latest is the lawsuit against Fox. Oreilly has now been fired from fox because of sexual harassment. He blames the democrats. Surprised? You shouldn't be. He claims that the whole thing is a democratic conspiracy. Yet he refuses to accept responsibility for his own actions. This isn't the first time that Fox has been in trouble. Not long ago, Fox received the dubious distinction of being named the most dishonest news agency on TV. Yeah, another surprise, right? Then a few months ago, a complaint regarding sexual harassment was filed that cost bud ailes his job. And some years ago, other complaints were filed and they went nowhere. But enough about Fox.
Now that my new PC is all set up and I have found most of my files I will be able to post more stuff. Yeah, its just stuff. Nothing pithy like earthquakes or things like that. Just some thoughts. Please feel free to reply.

Society has become something odd. We do things these days that were never done before. We refuse to help people, or refuse to do our job because someone is gay and that offends you. People lie as easily as opening their mouths to better their own lives. We could see someone laying along the side of the road and just pass them by without giving them a thought. We disrespect people yet expect them to respect us. We want to take more and give less.
Yet, I still believe that people don't want to be kept, they really don't, well, most people don't. People want to work. They want to be self-sufficient, they want to earn their own money, they want to buy things like food and clothing and maybe take a vacation.
We elect a president by a majority vote, but those who didn't vote for him refuse to work with him. Its not asking much... just do the job for which you are being paid so handsomely. You were elected to do a specific job. If there is something about that job that offends you, then find another job.
this is of course referring to the Rowan County Kentucky clerk of courts. For weeks, she refused to do her job and eventually was sent to jail. she promised to do things the right way if she was released and the judge ordered her release. Once she was freed, the thumbed her nose at the court, the judge, the legal system and everyone who respects it, by going back to her old illegal habits.
Why she won't resign is beyond me. But she has decided to become a one woman campaign against gay marriage, which is legal. So why is it that something legal cannot be done in Kentucky while something illegal is perfectly okay? Why has this woman not been removed from office? Why is she being allowed to continue to refuse to do her job?
She needs to go and she needs to go now.
