Society has become something odd.  We do things these days that were never done before. We refuse to help people, or refuse to do our job because someone is gay and that offends you. People lie as easily as opening their mouths to better their own lives.  We could see someone laying along the side of the road and just pass them by without giving them a thought.  We disrespect people yet expect them to respect us.  We want to take more and give less.
Yet, I still believe that people don't want to be kept, they really don't, well, most people don't.  People want to work.  They want to be self-sufficient, they want to earn their own money, they want to buy things like food and clothing and maybe take a vacation.
We elect a president by a majority vote, but those who didn't vote for him refuse to work with him.  Its not asking much... just do the job for which you are being paid so handsomely.  You were elected to do a specific job.  If there is something about that job that offends you, then find another job.
this is of course referring to the Rowan County Kentucky clerk of courts.  For weeks, she refused to do her job and eventually was sent to jail.  she promised to do things the right way if she was released and the judge ordered her release.  Once she was freed, the thumbed her nose at the court, the judge, the legal system and everyone who respects it, by going back to her old illegal habits.
Why she won't resign is beyond me.  But she has decided to become a one woman campaign against gay marriage, which is legal.  So why is it that something legal cannot be done in Kentucky while something illegal is perfectly okay?  Why has this woman not been removed from office?  Why is she being allowed to continue to refuse to do her job?
She needs to go and she needs to go now.
